Mark was born and grew up in Rhode Island and is a BU graduate, some pursuit of a Masters at URI and Pratt Institute. His wife Lori was born and grew up in Maine. Mark moved to Maine in 1989 and built the house they reside in located in the beautiful fishing village of New Harbor. Mark’s art is inspired by his surroundings. 
They have a gallery at their home located on Leeman Hill Road, across from the public landing on the south side of the harbor. Lori recently opened a bakery: Abundant Bread Bakery, also located at their home.
